remembering

Today is Memorial Day, a day set aside for remembering those who died while serving in the country's armed forces.  Although Veterans' Day is the day we celebrate all veterans, I will take the liberty of attempting to list all we know who served and live, while remembering those who died.  I am also thinking about those, unknown to me, who are still tangential victims of the many conflicts around the globe.

Fred B., M. Fred B., Earle W., Ben d S, Steve I., Jim W. and his mother, Debra H., Dave K., Alan Dale D., Orlando T., Forest B., Chuck W., Bogie B., Jimmy B., Robert B., Dave O., JoNell T., Anita T., Don, Clyde D., Sam T., Doug E., Jim H., JJ LM., Sam G., Larry L., Randy S., Joel M.,  Stewart C., Steve C., Robert S., Gene R., Ken B., Tom (of E & T), John C., Ed G., Al McC.  If I missed anyone, it is due to a defect in the name recognition software of my mental hard drive, since you are all in my thoughts.   I thank you for being part of my life and for your impact on the world.

until next Monday,

Thanks for remembering me in your Memorial Day message! I plan on being buried with my father, a Commander in the USN, and my mother at the Santa Fe Military Cemetery when my time on earth is complete and my soul goes to Heaven.

This is a wonderful juxtaposition of the pristine veteran's cemetery and the gorgeous flower, both fitting on this day of remembrance for those who gave so much.

And thank you for acknowledging and remembering all those who served and those who never made it back home. Thank you for your wonderful images. Thank you for the person who you are.
